St. Benedict

St. Benedict of Norcia was an Italian Christian monk, founder of the Benedictine Order of Cassino where he composed his Rule, which is based on three fundamental precepts: silence, humility and obedience. Linked to the figure of St. Benedict is the sacramental medal containing symbols and inscriptions. The medal represents a prayer by the user to invoke God's blessing and protection through the intercession of St. Benedict.
